Nearo is a local marketplace built by teens, for teens. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account you confirm you've read and accepted this policy.
1. Who can use Nearo
Nearo is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are under 13, please do not create an account or send us any personal information.
2. Data we collect
- Account basics — your name, email address, and optionally your school. Used to create your profile so other people can recognise you.
- Listings & messages — items you post and the messages and attachments you send through Nearo. Stored so the app can show your activity and deliver your messages.
- Account records — saved items, transaction records, and reports you submit.
3. How we use your data
- To run the core features of Nearo: profiles, listings, messaging, and thrift.
- To show you your own account information.
- To respond to reports and support requests.
4. Sharing
We share your data only with essential service providers — for example, our authentication and hosting providers — strictly so they can power Nearo on our behalf. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers or marketing partners.
5. Your choices
- You can edit your profile or delete your listings at any time from your account.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
- You can decline this policy — in which case you won't be able to sign in.
6. Security
Nearo uses encryption in transit and database access rules so that your private account data — your messages, saved items, records, and reports — is only readable by you. No system is perfect, but we take protecting your information seriously.

We may update this policy as Nearo evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
